I have a big
collection of picture books. One of my favourite stories is called
Appelemando’s Dreams, written by Patricia Polacco (Patricia Polacco's Homepage).
I last read the story to a Secondary Four student of mine in
Commonwealth Sec who met with an accident during her O level
examination, and had to skip her Add Math Paper 2. I had hoped that the
magic of a good story would make her recover faster.

What the world
needs is inspiration. I may be biased because I am naturally excited by
ideas. The potential for change, to push the limits of what we are able
to do in this world moves me more than the security and comfort of the
status quo.

I left Temasek Junior
College in Dec 2005. I was principal there for four years and we put a
lot of efforts into leading in the area of ICT in learning and for
administration. Two years ago, I had not even heard of web 2.0 nor the
term, “participatory culture” There was wikipedia but no
YouTube nor MySpace in my vocabulary as yet. .I was not aware that
Second Life existed with millions of residents, shopping, trading,
creating pixilated projects and just hanging out in virtual space.
